Pam Hauck is a Professional Member of the CCPA possessing a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation.  She specializes in integrating counselling with eastern approaches of working with the mind. She earned a Master’s in Counselling degree from Gonzaga University and is a certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher. She studied under renowned Mindfulness Teachers, Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield having completed their two year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP), offered by The Awareness Training Institution and the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley.

She is a trained MBSR and MBCT teacher having studied under Pat Rockwell and Gwen Morgan from the Centre of Mindfulness in Toronto. She currently teaches mindfulness group programs virtually and in person for the community at large, specializing in areas of stress management, mental wellness for depression and anxiety, relapse prevention, and wellness in the workplace. Pam continues to broaden her group offerings to include youth, seniors and others who have suffered from the aftermath of the global pandemic.

In her counselling practice, Pam takes an integrative, client-centered approach, utilizing empirically supported treatments to assist her clients in their recovery from mental health issues.  Pam draws from an integrative evidence-based approach, utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach as a foundation alongside somatic interventions, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), and Mindfulness. Pam prioritizes a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that is empathetic, caring and compassionate. Her mission is to assist clients in realizing their goals and recognizing their strengths.

More recently Pam has been hired by the Alberta Government to provide mindfulness classes to all Albertans. In collaboration with Alberta Mindfulness Association (AMA) and Alberta Health Services (AHS), funding for this project was provided through the Government of Alberta’s $53.4 million investment aimed at enhancing mental health and addiction supports for Albertans during and after the pandemic.

A steward to our community and our environment, she has more recently embraced the art of service and giving back to society. Pam volunteers for Calgary Counselling Centre and Calgary Mental Health Association

Outside of her mindfulness classes and counselling practice, she enjoys an active lifestyle filled with mountain and road cycling, paddle boarding, running, x-country skiing, pickleball and hiking/camping in the mountains.  Pam lives in Calgary with her partner James, has two grown University students, and is an active caregiver for her 84 year old mother.
